Children are very welcome at our Sunday morning services for praise and worship, and during the second part of the service they are encouraged to attend our Sunday school.
The Ark Christian Fellowship runs Sunday School classes for children between the ages of 4 to 12 years old. All teachers are DBS checked and vetted by the elders of the fellowship.
Children are taught the word of God from the Bible using age appropriate material – we use “Go Teach”. Various activities are incorporated into the lessons weekly or seasonally to reinforce their learning. These include: memorizing scripture, learning new songs, arts & crafts, drama and games.
We also desire to encourage our children to engage with the whole body during the end of the month Family Service. The message is aligned with their Sunday school material and presented in a way (being led by the Holy Spirit) to engage the children and the congregation as a whole.
ARK Christian Fellowship are committed to the nurturing, protection and safeguarding of all children and vulnerable adults associated with the fellowship. In pursuit of this we acknowledge children’s and vulnerable adults’ right to protection from abuse regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability or beliefs. We will follow legislation, statutory guidance and recognised good practice in order to protect vulnerable people in our fellowship.
ARK Christian Fellowship Sunday school teacher and youth workers have an up-to-date enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
At ARK we take the protection of our children and vulnerable adults seriously. We have a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy available to read on request.
